Tarot card spotlight: Two of Pentacles

Rider-Waite-Smith deck, 1909, public domain.
Let us look at Two of Pentacles. Two of Pentacles is a card of the Minor Arcana, in the suit of Pentacles, which the old decks tie to work, body, home and resources. Twos are about balance and choice, two things held side by side. In the Rider-Waite-Smith deck the Pentacles are coins marked with a star, tied to the material world. The Two of Pentacles brings a choice to weigh to your work, money, body and home. Its element is Earth. Earth is the element of the body, work and the practical world.

Using it as a prompt
You do not need to believe a card predicts anything to find it useful. Try this. Take the word "balance" and ask where it showed up in your week. Then take "choice" and ask where you would like more of it. Finally, notice what "partnership" brings to mind. Write one line for each, and you have a small journal entry. Because this is a suit of earth and the everyday, you might also ask what is working in your daily routine, and what small practical change would help.
